Well, today’s post is just a PSA to inform you all that I’m on vacation from work for the rest of 2023. It’s actually funny because this year I didn’t really feel the need to spend all my vacation days.

In total, per year, I have twenty-two vacation days to schedule. At most, I can only carry over six of these days to the next year, and I’m doing so this year.

Actually, for the 4 days I’m using next week I don’t feel the need to use them, however, they will actually come in handy to spend some quality time with my girlfriend.

I think this happens because I can’t really justify myself taking some vacation to just stay home, doing nothing (unless I’m really tired of course). So, this year, most of my days were spent traveling to Brussels.

Actually, at some point during my visits, I realized that if my girlfriend is working I might as well also work remotely instead of spending a vacation day.

I’m curious to see if this trend will change in 2024. One thing I wanted to start doing is to have a semi-plan of how I want to spend my vacation days during the year. Maybe that can also involve planning and buying my trips to Brussels in advance.
