A short theory on food

Given the dark nature of yesterday’s post, and the fact that it’s late and I’m tired, today we’re going to have a lighter post. In fact, we can just about call it a PSA.
Today at lunch, I was discussing something with my colleagues. This discussion is not a first, and it relates to our food preferences, more specifically, (hardcore vegans please leave now) to our meat preferences.
Sometimes, my colleague Cesar tells me about some meals he has (which seem quite transcendental by the way he talks) and it always boils down to some kind of large chunk of meat coming from a cow, on a grill, simply seasoned with salt.
This to me is uncanny, because I can’t imagine cow meat tasting good on its own. To me, meat is only as good as the meal you prepare it with.
That’s why chicken is the king meat for me. As I recall saying in one of these discussions, “chicken is the boat” whose purpose is to carry the flavor of the meals we cook.
