Gift-mania

19 Dec 2023

A few days ago I talked about the joy of buying gifts for my little cousins. So in yet another filler episode of the blog, today we’re gonna talk about what Christmas gifts we’re giving this holiday season.

This year I tried to be organized and I created a table in my phone’s note app. In total, I have fourteen people to whom I have to buy gifts.

Starting with my girlfriend, I’m going to give her a pair of sunglasses (very “wintery”, I know). The thing is that she is always using mine (and she looks better with them than me) so I’m giving her the same pair (different material). For the curious ones, it’s a pair of Rayban Wayfarers, a classic.

My grandma is getting a massage gun, to help with all her aches and pains. Trust me, dear readers, a massage gun is great. Her boyfriend is getting a box containing a selection of fine wines, some red, some white, all tasty1.

My godmother is getting a beautiful cozy jacket and my godfather is getting a good selection of chocolates (I still need to find something else for him).

My uncle (my mother’s only brother) is getting an Airtag, with his initials engraved.

My cousin, to whom I owe a lot in terms of life guidance, and for whom I ended up being the Secret Santa, is receiving an Airtag.

To three of my friends, I’m giving three chocolate bars. It may not seem as much, but I have a tradition of buying them every Christmas. I buy three different flavors, and I let each of them pick. So the first person to come gets the “better” one.

Finally, I am still yet to buy something for my brother, mother, and father. I know, we’re five days away from Christmas, but I always figure something out.

What about you, is your list all crossed out?
